    "LIVE's Search for Unstoppable Mom's" ("Contest") is sponsored by LIVE with Kelly & Michael, 7 Lincoln Square, New York, New York 10023 ("LIVE"); American Broadcasting Companies, Inc., 77 West 66th Street, 16th Floor, New York, New York 10023 ("ABC") (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Sponsor").


    Contest is open to nominators and nominees who are each residents of one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or Canada (excluding Quebec). Nominees must be 18 years of age or older and must be a "Mom." Employees of American Broadcasting Companies, Inc., McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc., their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, advertising and promotional agencies and prize suppliers, and those individuals' immediate family and household members, are not eligible to nominate or be nominated. "Immediate family members" shall mean parents, step -parents, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, or spouse. "Household members" shall mean people who share the same residence at least three months a year.



    Send a short letter, one page or less, describing why you or someone you know is an "unstoppable mom." Tell us what makes that mom "unstoppable" for example, what she has done to improve or enhance the lives of her family, children or community or why you think she deserves some special recognition on LIVE. Include with your essay the nominator's and nominee's: names, addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses.

    Or, you can submit your materials by logging on to the Show's website at: There you will find instructions on the appropriate file formats and sizes for electronic submissions. Click on the "nominate now" button indicated and write your letter, attaching the formatted photo and/or video. Please complete all required fields. Hit "Start Upload" to submit your entry.

    "LIVE" can provide no technical support and accepts no responsibility for insuring the receipt of your entry photo. If you experience any difficulties trying to submit your materials electronically, we recommend you send your letter and photo via U.S. mail to us at the above address.

    Submissions must be the sole property and original work of nominator. When submitting any photo or video, nominator must have all rights to reproduce and distribute the photo/video submitted. Any submission not meeting these requirements will be immediately disqualified. Any submissions containing materials which may be deemed indecent, inappropriate, objectionable, pornographic, offensive, hateful, violent, impersonating others or otherwise unfit for use on air will not be considered.

    Do not submit photos for which you have not obtained the necessary permission from the photographer. Prior to advancement in the Contest, potential participants will be required to accept our TERMS OF USE and if submitted photo and/or video is chosen to show on-air a completed on-air photo release from the owner of the photograph and each person included in the photo will also be required. Any photo and/or video submission should be the product of an amateur and not taken by a professional photographer/videographer in their capacity as a professional.

    All submissions (whether mailed or submitted electronically) must be received in our office by no later than 6 pm ET on February 8th, 2013 to be considered. Entries using any method of submission other than those listed above may not be considered for further participation in the Contest. Letters and photos and/or videos ("Materials") will not be acknowledged or returned. All submissions (including photos and/or videos) become the property of "LIVE" and may be used by "LIVE", its designees and assigns without compensation in any manner, and, in any media, worldwide in perpetuity, for programming, publicity, promotional and/or other purposes, to the extent permitted by law.

    As to any nominees/nominators who may be asked to appear on the program in New York City, "LIVE" will cover the cost of their round-trip transportation to the Show taping and accommodations, if necessary. "LIVE" reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the details and/or necessity of all such compensated travel arrangements. Webisodes may be produced on location near a nominee/nominator's home in which case any compensation to participants will be at the sole discretion of the Show.

    Finalists must be available to appear on LIVE in New York on or about the week of March 11th, 2013. Choice of dates for any appearance is at LIVE's sole discretion. If a Finalist is unable to travel on the dates selected, or does not possess documentation required to travel to New York (if needed), Finalist may forfeit any prize and an alternate Finalist may be selected, if time permits. As deemed necessary at the sole discretion of the Sponsor, LIVE will provide transportation and accommodation for the four (4) Finalists asked to appear on the program. LIVE reserves the exclusive right to determine the details and/or necessity of such compensated travel arrangements. LIVE reserves the right to select fewer than four (4) finalists if it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified entries.

    Federal, state and local taxes associated with all transportation and accommodations provided are the responsibility of the finalist. Any and all expenses not expressly mentioned above are the sole responsibility of the finalist.

    Entries remain the property of Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged. One entry per nominee will be considered for further participation. Sponsor and Released Parties are not responsible for mail or entries that are lost, stolen, late, illegible, incomplete, damaged, mutilated, misdirected, altered, tampered with, or postage-due.

    Sponsor and Released Parties are not responsible for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, or for technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to electronic malfunction or damage of any network, hardware or software. If for any reason the contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the contest, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest. No responsibility is assumed by Sponsor or Released Parties for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; or any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or electronic entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web-site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials from this contest.


  5. Entries will initially be judged by representatives of the LIVE staff (or anyone they may so designate in their sole discretion) on a rolling basis from the start of the submission period. Entries will be judged based on the following three (3) criteria: (1) potential for on-air appeal; (2) compelling nature of letter; and, (3) cohesion with overall theme and schedule. LIVE staff may conduct telephone interviews with potential candidates beginning on or about January 17th, 2013.

    Approximately four (4) entries will be featured in webisodes produced by the Show ("Webisode Winners"). Webisode Winners will be selected based on the same judging criteria listed above, on a rolling basis starting on or about January 17, 2013. Enter early for an increased chance to be selected. Choice of dates for any webisode segment production and or appearance of webisode is at "LIVE's" sole discretion.

    Approximately fifteen (15) "Unstoppable Mom" Semi-finalists ("Semi-Finalists") will be announced on or about the week of March 4th, 2013. The Semi-finalists will be judged, based on the same criteria listed above, by another panel of representatives of LIVE staff (or anyone they may so designate in their sole discretion). From the fifteen Semi-finalists four (4) "Unstoppable Mom" finalists ("Finalists") will be selected.

    The four (4) "Unstoppable Mom" Finalists will be announced on or about March 8th, 2013 and will be expected to appear on LIVE on or about the week of March 11th, 2013. Once the four (4) Finalists have appeared on LIVE, viewers will be given an opportunity to vote online for their favorite "Unstoppable Mom" Finalist. Exact timing and details of the online voting and associated processes is still to be determined but will be announced, on air and/or on-line, no later than March 14, 2013. The Finalist who receives the most online votes will be awarded the Grand Prize.

    In the event of a tie at any point in this Contest the entry with the highest score in the first criteria listed ("potential for on-air appeal") as determined in the initial round of judging will be deemed the winner of that tie, in the event of a further tie highest score in criteria (2) will determine the winner of the tie, in the event of a further tie entrant with the highest score in criteria (3) will determine the winner. All dates and times as listed in this section or elsewhere in the rules may be modified in order to meet production schedule(s) or for any other reason deemed necessary at the sole discretion of LIVE staff.

    All four (4) Finalists must supply proof of identity, sign an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release and Indemnification, provide their Social Security/tax identification number and must sign a liability release and a publicity release prior to their appearance and final qualification and appearance. Failure to timely comply with any requirement of these terms and conditions will result in the noncompliant entrant being deemed ineligible for any prize.

  7. Grand Prize winner will receive $100,000 (awarded as a check).

    Approximately Four (4) Webisode Winners will each receive one (1) professional hair/makeup session; one (1) styling session using the winner's own clothing/personal items; and one (1) session with a professional photographer to create a family photo. ARV of each: $500.

    Federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of a winner, who will receive an IRS Form 1099 reflecting the final actual value of any prize valued at $600 or more. Consult with your tax professional regarding potential tax implications.

    Winners are not entitled to exchange or transfer prizes or to obtain cash or other substitutes, but Sponsor in its sole discretion may substitute prizes of equal or greater value. All expenses not specifically provided for herein are the winner's sole responsibility. Some restrictions may apply.

    Sponsor in no way guarantees any on-air appearance of any participant in this contest and an appearance is not a part of any prize. Sponsor and Released Parties are in no way responsible for cancellation or rescheduling of any appearance or for other circumstances that make it impractical or impossible to fulfill any potential scheduled appearance at any time during this contest.


  9. By participating, submittors and nominees agree to be bound by these guidelines and the decisions of the Show, which shall be final in all respects. By participating in the Contest, submittors agree to release McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc.; LIVE with Kelly and Michael; and American Broadcasting Companies, Inc., each of their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, advertising and promotion agencies and participant gift suppliers, and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees, as well as each of their respective successors, representatives and assigns (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damage arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Contest and/or acceptance or use of any prize (including any travel or activity related thereto).

    Submittors and any party who agrees to further participation in this contest authorize the Released Parties to use their name, voice, likeness, biographical data, city and state of residence and submission materials in programming or promotional material, in any media now known or hereafter created or conceived, worldwide in perpetuity, including on a winner's list, if applicable, without further compensation unless prohibited by law. Sponsor is not obligated to use any of the above mentioned information or materials, but may do so and may edit such information or materials, at Sponsor's sole discretion, without further obligation or compensation. Submittors acknowledge that profile materials may be included and/or discussed in a broadcast, that such discussion may include statements or opinions by the broadcast talent or others about the entrants, the entrants' appearances and/or the materials, and that those statements and opinions may be considered surprising, embarrassing, defamatory or otherwise offensive or injurious to them. Entrants release the Released Parties from any actions, claims, injury, loss or damage allegedly caused, directly or indirectly, by any such statements or opinions made during a broadcast.

    To claim any gifts that may be given to Submittors, they must: (a) provide proof of recipient's age, residency, and legal status; (b) sign and return eligibility, publicity, liability, guidelines compliance and any other releases requested by Sponsor; and (c) have recipient's intended guest(s) or travel companion(s), if any, sign and return releases requested by Sponsor; all within the time period(s) specified by Sponsor.

    By agreeing to further participation in Contest, Entrant agrees to: be the subject of any requested background check; submit any and all information required as part of any background check; and, execute any and all necessary or requisite paperwork to accomplish a background check.

  11. Void where prohibited. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with any process associated with this contest and to cancel, terminate, modify and/or suspend the contest in the event of tampering or other circumstances, including but not limited to acts of God or civil disturbance that render it impractical or impossible to complete or fulfill the contest as originally planned.
